German Quality Made in Mexico: Ziemann Holvrieka Mexico Presents Marbled Wine Tanks at an Open House Celebrating Innovation and Teamwork
On Friday, June 26, 2026, Ziemann Holvrieka Liquid Process Technology Mexico hosted a successful Open House at its Ramos Arizpe plant in Coahuila. The event marked a major milestone by showcasing two custom-made 30,000-liter fermentation and storage tanks designed for Viñedos Don Leo, one of the region’s most prestigious wineries.
The event gathered representatives from 12 local vineyards, craft breweries, and wine committees from Coahuila and Nuevo Leon. Attendees got an up-close look at these impressive units, which stand out for their design and excellent quality marbled finishes. Technically, the tanks feature a cooling jacket, a sloped flat bottom for easy cleaning, and a custom strainer that optimizes the juice extraction efficiency process. While Ziemann Holvrieka holds a great legacy in the brewing industry, entering the wine sector represented a challenge to prove that our engineering could adapt to a new market. Thanks to the perseverance of the Mexican commercial team—who scouted and visited over 20 vineyards—we gained a deep understanding of the producers’ real challenges to develop truly customized solutions.
Developing these tanks was possible through the joint efforts of Germany and Mexico, combining our global expertise and international standards with local talent. The results exceeded internal expectations and sparked immense corporate pride, proving our ability to open new markets far outside our traditional comfort zone.
During the event, visitors toured the facility to learn about the design and manufacturing processes that guarantee reliable, high-performance equipment. Additionally, Alfa Laval participated as a key strategic partner, delivering a presentation on tank cleaning solutions using spray ball technology, highlighting the critical importance of hygiene and efficiency in beverage production.
