T-Rex wet – Focus on maximum customer benefit
Ziemann Holvrieka presents the T-Rex milling unit for wet milling. The DRY variant, launched in 2015, has already won a firm place on the market, and the WET version is also in successful operation.
The key component of every T-Rex milling unit is the grinder. Instead of cylindrical rollers, it consists of interlocking double-conical segments that create a zigzag-shaped passage area. This reduces the length of the grinding unit by roughly two thirds as compared with a roller mill. In the latest model, the edges of the grinding disks have a special curvature that ensures uniform use of the surface and significantly increases the resistance of the disks to foreign matter. At the center the double cone has a similarly rounded form, allowing the curved shapes to meet. The result is even wear of the surfaces over time, extending the service lives of the grinding disks.
Thanks to the new, modular structure of the direct-driven grinding shafts, users can replace the disk assembly and all of the wear parts within two to three hours, including test runs. The advantages of this design are higher efficiency, fewer wear parts and a lower risk of accidents. Finally, all sensors in the mill are suitable for direct integration into the process control system. The mill can therefore be easily incorporated into new or existing systems and grow with the customer’s system. A digital file (ModuleTypePackage file) containing all of the important information is supplied for this purpose. It enables the mill to be quickly and easily linked with suitable control systems.
Capacity of 5 to 25 t/h for all kinds of grist
The DRY variant of the T-Rex mill is available with capacities of 5 to 25 metric tons per hour (as per DIN 8777). The new WET variant achieves the same capacity levels and is equipped with grinding disks and a housing made of stainless steel. It is fully CIP-capable, making it ideal for hygienically demanding processes.
In short, with the T-Rex WET mill, Ziemann Holvrieka presents an innovative wet milling solution that has already proved itself in practice. It combines flexibility, energy efficiency, ease of maintenance and seamless integration into modern brewery processes.
