The potential

With an annual beer consumption per capita of approximately 68 liters and a population exceeding 132 million, Mexico presents a substantial and enthusiastic consumer base. As the world’s largest beer exporter and fourth-largest beer producer globally with annual production of 134.7 million hectoliters, Mexico’s robust production capacity caters to both domestic demand and export opportunities.

The region has attracted substantial investments from major global players, with the Mexican beer market now valued at US$18.2 billion and expected to reach US$22.7 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 5.7%. Supported by Mexico’s overall economic growth, the beer industry is well-positioned for success.

Additionally, Mexico’s strategic location enhances its appeal, providing access to key markets in North America and Latin America, with beer exports valued at approximately US$5.6 billion annually. The premium beer segment is showing particularly strong growth at 8.3% annually, outpacing the overall market. This combination of favorable economic conditions, a thriving market, and strategic advantages makes Mexico an exceptional destination for breweries looking to establish a successful presence.
